Why hasn't Trump tried to fire Pence?

Elected, yes, but Trump has never been beholden to the will of the people or the law of the land.
Pence must have something really bad on Trump.

Pence has never been anything less than fully supportive of President Trump. It's easy for him, as he really has no executive authority; he doesn't need to contradict Trump like hurricane forecasters do to make sure no one dies.
