Hi, has anyone bought tickets from CL before? I'm looking to get Bon Jovi tickets for Verizon center but unsure how safe it is to buy from Craigslist. Thanks.

I have had friends who have done it. All you do is ask for the confirmation number from the tickets and call them in to Ticketmaster or whoever distributed to confirm that they are legit.

Sorry, perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but how does this prevent fraud (e.g. duplicating the tickets, selling them to different people, and giving out the same confirmation number).

Thanks

It seems to me that most tickets have some sort of authentication mark on them these days. If you don't see that on the ticket when you go to pick them up, don't pay for them.

I've both bought and sold tickets through Craigslist and had no troubles. You can usually weed out a lot of garbage just by reading their response or ad.

The ads that say they will email you tickets and to pay pal them the money I would be suspicious of,

Always seek out "hard" (regular traditional tickets) rather than the email print at home tickets.

On that note, does anyone have a rec for a reputable ticket broker? We would like to get great seats. Anyone have luck with www.stubhub.com? Thanks again.

I've used stub hub and also some scapler sites and never had any problems.
