You are such a fucking idiot. The musket was designed for combat and self defense. Would you like to use a musket for self defense? Hell when Indians roamed North America they used bow and arrows. How about you hang a bow and arrow above your bed and use that for self defense. Why would you want to use antiquated instruments when there are much better options today thanks to technology aka 9mm and 12 gauge buckshot. 22. LR is not "fine" for self defense. What if the robber or mass shooter is wearing body armor as has been documented? People on here are such fucking idiots and have zero knowledge about guns or ammunition. Just like our ccongress

your body armor quip is hilarious my dude. 9mm wont penetrate modern vests and a shotgun with buck will need to be closer than youre gonna get to an active shooter. you may as well stick with the .22 so you can poke out both eyes double tap instead of grazing him in panic mode with the too-lightweight polymer 9mm or .40 kicking like one of goatfuckerer2's unfortunate victims. fortunately for me I know that the supply of whackjob mass shooters is massively hyped by the media so I dont walk around clutching my pearls. As for robbery, Im not a bank manager in north hollywood or a drug dealer so Im not really expecting any such determined force. in reality people with body armor and rifle are pretty tough to stop by any means which is perfect for the cowards. Its sad because any dick can kick and spray. the old method of whacking a single, deserving, influential person or politician off at 750 yards to promote a cause seems downright civil these days. in any event if there's a mass shooting Im running CCW or not. Ill let the cops with their fancy dancy body armor deal with that bull

Actually, this is the last thing you want. Before that scumbag realizes why his new roommate thinks he looks better with no teeth, he gets to tell the story of how he accidentally knocked on your door while collecting for UNICEF and you invited him in then shot him for no reason. If shit for brains is dead, there will only be one story of what happened - yours.

just as nonfatal shootings by criminals are more common than homicides, justifed shootings are more commonly nonfatal. the news media doesnt like to cover self defense much but far too many home invaders and rapists survive imo. these woundings can be attributed to poor shooting on the part of the defender rather than the caliber of the weapon
