Meanwhile, over in the famous real world that these stumbling, bumbling losers are simply unable to visit, the wife and daughter and I had breakfast yesterday at The Virginian over in Vienna. Coffee and a country-fried steak, two eggs sunny side up, home fries, a cup of grits, a side of scrapple, and an English muffin. The entire menu is good, but that and the breakfast subs are the two show-stoppers. It’s not quite the same place as when Epione Kappatos held the reins, but it's close, and always worth the while. After that, we all headed west again to enjoy some regular mani/pedi sessions. I don’t do the mani part, but great feeling feet are a wonderful thing. The Nats are coming home now, so the wife and I will be spending time at the ballpark once again. Megan and Garland are meanwhile looking at ten days in Barbados.

At McHenry Street, btw, the cleaning people busy themselves with dusting, vacuuming, wiping down the glass, changing out the bed linens, and otherwise cleaning the interior of our home, a beautifully appointed 4/3, to include the kitchen, two home offices, two sunrooms, a wet bar, and a formal dining room. We’ve used this particular service exclusively for years now and have been very happy with their work. Otherwise terminated two prior services for failure to arrive on time and breaking stuff without telling us. No such problems since. Just all that excellent work.

Cloudy and cool again out here in the Sweet Spot this morning. Should get into the 60s this afternoon with drizzle ending by 6:00 or so. You never know for sure, but that should be good enough to get tonight’s Braves game played as scheduled. Jacket weather though. Looking like sunny and the high 60s for our next game on Saturday with the Giants.
