So the bank wouldn’t accept ny Maryland DL as a form of ID

I seldom go to the bank, but today I had no choice. I went to get a quote on a mortgage. The banker asked for my ID and I presented my Maryland drivers license. He stated that I would need two forms of ID because it was a Maryland ID. Had it been from Virginia, only one would have sufficed. Is this because they give out licenses to illegals? Why is Virginia’s ID more trusted?

The bank doesn’t trust Marylanders because most of them are libtards.

Yes. MD DOT gives IDs and licenses to individuals that use documents to establish their identity that are of dubious origin - eg., matricular consulate IDs - etc...

Do you read the news dumbass? Maryland is currently in the process of implementing the RealID act. Virginia already has. You need to go get a new license that complies otherwise the bank is the least of your worries. Try getting through security at the airport, renting a car, etc.

Virginia is implementing Real ID but most current Virginia licenses were issued before this happened. My Virginia DL is not compliant so I sometimes have to use my passport.

Rule #1: Don't go to a local bank to check on a mortgage rate. They'll take you to the cleaners.

I've always found better rates through Web searches and used on-line brokers to get the best rate. Most were out of state, but licensed to do business in Virginia. When the time came for the closing, they sent out a representative and we sat at the dining room table to complete the closing paperwork. It was all wrapped up within an hour.

Have you been to Maryland lately? It's like a third world country over there. Especially PG County.

MD = Shady

Informed consumers with good credit who are dealing with smaller banks and credit unions can usually get mortgages with terms as good as any they can find on the internet.
