If they find her remains and they test positive its her by DNA and other features then he can be charged with premeditated murder one as murder has no statute of limitations , if convicted that would probably be life no parole but if he has been good on the outside he could get out with parole towards the end of his life
At least her mother will know what happened to her loved one and may find comfort or maybe not as it ends all future hope of seeing her alive a very sad situation indeed for the mother even after all these years as its never going to be out of her mind
