I'd be worried about the involvement of Pulte.

I hope that the Breezeway can survive.
So many memories of overnights before I had my own place.
I can still see my 65 GTO parked outside first thing next morning.

So does Pulte already own the properties? Or is the idea to get the plan approved by the city, and then make offers the owners can't refuse?

I guess I'll stay one last night at the Breezeway for old time sakes. I lost my virginity there and it was the first place I ever watched HBO back in 1981. Good memories!

In many cases, the would-be developer (Pulte) will buy an option from the current landowners to purchase the property/properties at a certain price, contingent upon getting approval from the authorities to develop as per the submitted plan.

My wife and i got married just over 40 years ago and had no money.. we were driving out of DC with no place to go and didn't just want to go back to our house so as we passed thru fairfax in 1978 we stopped in at Breezeway. and spent the night... she started on her period so sad for me.. well.. i mean it wasn't like we hadn/t already been at it.. ashamed to tell this if i had to put my name...

Whatever Pulte wants, Pulte will get. Just like any other developer. City Council, like the County, sell us out every time.
