That's not a joke. If you walk into the SB gym - they actually hung a banner "Beat Westfield 2016" the year they beat Westfield. Regular season wins and running up scores are a higher priority than winning playoff games over there.

Have they replaced the hayfield coach yet? 1-9 with like 6 pts per game. What happened? Their only win was against 0-10 Annandale. But they did get 3rd in the VA Beach 7v7.

Hayfield is tiny. They had one of the smallest O & D lines i’ve ever seen. The LB core was tiny as well. Hell, even the skill players were smaller than most of the teams they played. 7v7 doesn’t mean a thing when the pads come on. (& you throw O/D line in there) Hendo will get another year to get things right. Maybe 2, given that ridiculous schedule he was handed.

It would be quite entertaining to see Madison play Lake Braddock for a region championship. I think many of us are tired of Westfield and South County. If the SC coach retires as has been rumored and if WF doesn’t transfer in some talent, I’d think the door is open for some new teams to win districts.

Please, Manchester played 8 teams with a losing record that season and had an easy road to states combined with facing a poser team in the finals.

Freedom was not a poser team, they were really good (that team would’ve destroyed OS or SOCO this year) instead they just got absolutely owned by Man. in the championship game.
