I really like Schmidt's at $1.49 a six pack you can't go wrong. They've been brewing for generations and still going strong.

The original was Gablinger's. But that was bought out and the name was changed to Miller Lite. There are a few foreign beers that can claim to be better, but not much that comes from the US.

Back in the day, we had Red, White and Blue. 99 cents for a six pack.

Speaking of beers, what is your favorite hangover remedy?
Me- I wake up with that groggy pounding headache sweaty mess hangover----
I will do- hair of the dog (one more drink), pound at least a half gallon of water all in about an hour or so, a gatorade (the costco/store brand version works just fine!), and a 5 hour energy shot usually gets me going for the day. If I have it, I'll smoke a joint too. A big greasy breakfast and a healthy shit and I am right as rain.

^^^^Dude, not to judge but rather offer some help. Try an AAA meeting. If you have this hangover recovery procedure committed to memory you are probably drinking every night or binging. It is not healthy dude. A beer or three a few times a week is chill and anything more than that is just abuse man.

I appreciate your concern but frankly I only drink on weekends, when OFF Work. At home, no driving for me past 1 beer.
BTW, its AA (alcoholics anon.) AAA is the roadside assistance company..
My only gripe with AA (brother went through it) is they say "believe in a higher power" but it seems if one is not Christian, one gets bullied in that direction- and that is what turned me off about it. I believe in God as do the rest of my family but am not particular religious- didn't help the meeting was in a church. I respect their opinions and effort to 'recruit" my brother but they went a little over the top with it- just like those "abortion help" clinics that shame the young woman wanting an abortion and making her feel guilty for wanting one- nah, not my style. After hearing my bro talk about it, forget it. He was literally hassled with text messages and invites to church at EVERY MEETING and shamed even though it was supposed to be "no judgement".
I can get with the other steps though.
Cheers and thank you for your support!

How about Irish and English

Europeans especially Germans and English workers drink a lot of beer, they don't drive afterward, they drink close to where they live, big difference with the USA

I can't tell you how many times I've gotten stale bottled beer in local bars.
Tap beer too: they somehow get stale or have water added to them.
I RARELY GET A GOOD BEER IN A FAIRFAX BAR.
I rarely drink or go out and drink only one, just a few times a year - over decades.
The only "good beer" is one with a label clearly indicating fairfax's assholes didn't fuck with it (sealed from factory) and with a "BORN ON" date stamped on it that's legible.

once a year i get a 6-pack for the refridgerator. i pay up for the good since it's rarely drank.
it's always %100 spot on.
i've had %100 spot on great tasting beer at bars - it's just that since the 1990's in fairfax there's been allot malpractice with the beer in bars
i've gotten bad beer from grocery stores. easy to avoid: don't buy cheap brands - make sure their's a "made on" date or make sure it's a world renound beer that's too proud to leave stale beer on the shelf (there are some)

I'm done with beer at local bars. They've ripped me off too many times.
