Wonder why there are so many homes on the market there being sold at rock bottom Prices?
The county along with the great BHO HUD plan is forcing low income residents into the area. A once safe and equine loving community will be looking similar to Manassas Park within 10 years.

THey don't develop Clifton because they want it to keep it's small town feel. MS-13 has been coming around in recent years to drop bodies off, and hold their gang initiations in the area. I saw a few of them on my property doing who knows what 2 years ago, and brandished my pistol to let them know I wasn't fucking around.

Sucks for the dopes who dropped big bucks to live out in the woods and now can't get in or out of their house anytime near rush hour.
when did clifton become a parking lot?
All of Prince William county apparently commutes through Clifton daily...disaster.

Clifton could use city sewer and water. That way they could get their elementary school reopened.

I left the town because of the water and sewer. We were always having problems with our well. The town of Clifton doesn’t want water and sewer. Fairfax County pumps the sewer in Clifton 24/7
The town wants to stay to itself. I thought to be a township you had to have your own police and fire department like Vienna does

Clifton is too far away from the city and other major things, traffic is only going to get worse.

Why the recent increase in traffic? Aren't their roads narrow and winding and difficult to drive? Are school busses needing to bus kids out of Clifton the problem since their school closed? Genuinely curious.

The Clowns in Clifton think they will be able to maintain their "rural" status and stave off multi family dwellings and zero lot line housing by collectively not allowing municipal services like sewer and water. In doing so they have contaminated the groundwater, the water they use for cooking, bathing, brushing their teeth, because the land area can't accept anymore Human and animal waste and the septic fields are failing.
The water is so contaminated that FCPS closed Clifton Elementary and yes they bus the kids to Centerville so they are not exacerbating the upcoming ebola epidemic. Hopefully enough of these assholes get sick from eating and drinking their own shit and the County installs the services.
Then developers can move in and build apartment buildings that can house the Mexicans that mow their lawns.
Clifton today Great Falls tomorrow.

What??? Clifton has just ONE WELL for all those tens of households? And you believe that radon comes from contaminated water? Man, that's dumb!

"Clifton's well has radon in it not waste. Thanks for playing."
Keep believing this and keep allowing your kids / grandkids to drink your well water. Hell let your expensive livestock drink it too. If you believe hard enough it will be true right?

You can't drink water with radon in it, just like you can't drink waste tainted water. Sounds like you've been drinking hot dog flavored water.

Been living outside the Clifton township since 1988. Traffic has increased through the town because of drivers commuting to Prince William. Thankfully for me I'm on 8 acres of land. My house is well back from the road so I don't hear any traffic noise plus my road isn't on the main road.
On well and septic system. Never a problem with the well. Whoever said radon in the water is a complete dumbass. I don't even have a water softner and surprisingly the water doesn't have a sulfur smell. There are some houses that have what's called an Engineering Water System. Expensive as hell to have one but I guess it's probably because of perc problems.
Clifton isn't going downhill anytime soon.

As traffic gets worse, Clifton will become less desirable. If I wanted to be trapped in my home with some land, I'd head way further west.
As someone who lives in Clifton and has even the most basic understanding of geology, radon does not contaminate water. What's more radon is an issue for just about the whole country, but only because it can seep into basements.
As for traffic, the only thing that would need to change for it to clear up is to close the Yates Ford bridge, problem solved. A $10 toll each way would probably also go a long way to curbing traffic.
