Wonder if Paul Erickson is the conservative operative mentioned in the NY Times article?

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/03/us/politics/trump-putin-russia-nra-campaign.html

WASHINGTON — A conservative operative trumpeting his close ties to the National Rifle Association and Russia told a Trump campaign adviser last year that he could arrange a back-channel meeting between Donald J. Trump and Vladimir V. Putin, the Russian president, according to an email sent to the Trump campaign.

A May 2016 email to the campaign adviser, Rick Dearborn, bore the subject line “Kremlin Connection.” In it, the N.R.A. member said he wanted the advice of Mr. Dearborn and Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, then a foreign policy adviser to Mr. Trump and Mr. Dearborn’s longtime boss, about how to proceed in connecting the two leaders.

Russia, he wrote, was “quietly but actively seeking a dialogue with the U.S.” and would attempt to use the N.R.A.’s annual convention in Louisville, Ky., to make “ ‘first contact.’ ” The email, which was among a trove of campaign-related documents turned over to investigators on Capitol Hill, was described in detail to The New York Times.

...and the question dealt -- as was plainly stated ("the 60-something Trump") -- with his behavior when in his 60's, namely between 2006 and 2016.

Krauthammer along with his pea-brained ideas is dead and gone. And good riddance to him. He was engaged in persistent lying and general disservice to America. Doesn't make him stand out much from most in the right-wing media of course. That's why they call it the "disinformation media."

Civil or criminal? Admit it, your understanding of RICO doesn’t go beyond what you’ve seen in the movies. There’s a really good chance you don’t even know what RICO stands for without looking it up.

There's a better chance that you are a worthless guntard asshole. The NRA has its fingers in multiple Russia-tinged initiatives. RICO is an obvious -- but not the only -- means by which to bring down such ongoing criminal enterprise and conspiracy against the public.

As suspected, you have exactly zero understanding of RICO. Here’s a softball for you. What’s the predicate offense you are alleging took place? Quick! Time to Google what a predicate offense is!

Great buzzfeed article on Maria Butini'a infilation of the NRA & GOP - two groups of traitors!

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/verabergengruen/maria-butina-south-dakota-russia-spy-trump-nra

"
Finley, the former CIA operations officer, agreed, saying Butina’s actions can’t be seen as “some giant master plan” but rather a part of Russians' countless low-cost, low-risk operations.

“When they sent her over, they didn’t know she’d infiltrate the NRA and meet high-level people, but as opportunities arose they’d take them. They were casting as wide a net as they could,” she said. “My guess is there were many Butinas out there.”

Prosecutors Admit They Wrongly Accused Russian of Offering Sex for Republican Access

Maria Butina was charged this summer with conspiracy and illegally acting as an agent of the Russian government.

By Sharon LaFraniere
Sept. 8, 2018

WASHINGTON — Federal prosecutors have admitted that they wrongly accused Maria Butina, a Russian citizen now in custody on charges of illegally acting as a foreign agent, of offering to trade sex for a job as part of a covert effort by Russian government officials to infiltrate Republican circles in the United States.

In a court filing late Friday, prosecutors in the United States attorney’s office in Washington acknowledged that they had been “mistaken” in interpreting what were apparently joking text messages between Ms. Butina and a friend who had helped her renew her car insurance.

Ms. Butina was charged this summer with conspiracy and illegally acting as an agent of the Russian government in what prosecutors have claimed was a secret campaign to try to influence high-level Republican politicians, including Donald J. Trump, both as a candidate and after his election. Denied bail, she is now in custody in the detention center in Alexandria, Va.

Defense lawyers for Ms. Butina are arguing that the prosecutors’ error is emblematic of a flawed federal case that has wrongly landed their client in pretrial custody. A federal judge is scheduled to review Ms. Butina’s request that she be released from jail, as well as whether to impose a gag order, on Monday.

Reported that special counsel Robert Mueller was investigating whether the National Rifle Association was a conduit for money from Russia to Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

In a follow-up report, indicated that a clearer picture was emerging of possible connections. “Several prominent Russians, some in President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle or high in the Russian Orthodox Church, now have been identified as having contact with National Rifle Association officials during the 2016 U.S. election campaign, according to photographs and an NRA source,”

“The contacts have emerged amid a deepening Justice Department investigation into whether Russian banker and lifetime NRA member Alexander Torshin illegally channeled money through the gun rights group to add financial firepower to Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential bid.”

The Senate intelligence committee has asked the National Rifle Association to provide documents on its connections to Russia—including documents related to a 2015 trip some of its top leaders made to Moscow. That’s according to two sources briefed on the committee’s activities.

The NRA, in a series of letters to the committee, initially denied receiving money from Russia. But in an April 10 letter to Sen. Ron Wyden, its general counsel John Frazer acknowledged receiving “a total of approximately $2512.85 from people associated Russian addresses” and “about $525” from two Russian nationals living in the United States. It also acknowledged “membership dues” from Torshin, a non-voting life member of the NRA since 2012.

Yes, I'm sure the $3,000 membership dues is the reason the NRA backed Trump.

Otherwise, the NRA would have backed Hillary and she would be President now.

Seems Russian spy Mariia Butina is working out a plea agreement with federal prosecutors!

Why has the NRA not been dismantled for money laundering & treason? A RICO investigation makes sense.

^^^ Maria Butina operated at the highest levels of Republican politics with an express and defined goal of infiltrating the party and opening backchannel lines of influence with key American power players. At the very same time Trump was petitioning the Russian government to build Trump Tower Moscow.

Russian national Maria Butina went to court and pleaded guilty to conspiring to act as an agent of the Kremlin and to specifically infiltrate conservative organizations to make inroads with powerful Republicans. It worked, too, with the assistance of Paul Erickson!

This is a story of high-profile Republican power players intersecting with the NRA, the evangelical right and Republican candidates for president, including Donald Trump

Time to toss the NRA to the curb!
What a bunch of traitors!!

Ever sentence of this propoganda is 100% completely false. Read this great expose of how the Dem prosecutors flat out lied about Butina and then tortured the poor girl for months into getting her to plead guilty to a nothing-burger charge.

The government’s case against Butina is extremely flimsy and appears to have been driven largely by a desire for publicity. In fact, federal prosecutors were forced to retract the most attention-grabbing allegation in the case—that Butina used sex to gain access and influence.

Seems the NRA is not satisfied with dead American children!

The NRA met with reps of Australia’s most prominent far-right political party to discuss funding them, in return for them working to loosen Australia’s gun laws. It’s causing QUITE the shit0storm.

What really happened...

Al Jazeera reporter made up a fake Australian gun rights group and conned two representative from Australia's One Nation group into contacting the NRA and paid for their travel to the US to meet with them.

Here is the real troof from an anonymous source close to Butina: she liked guns... She talked about guns so much in an hour that a bonafide rabid gun nut thought she was loco. She also eats sardines head first on open faced sandwiches with wayyy too much mayo. Russians are just weird in general.. reading too much into their weirdness is just playing into their game

That was the intent... Remove the guns from behind every blade of grass... If it polarizes us the point of open civil war that's just extra gravy
