too cold to change my own oil...any thoughts about valvoline instant oil change centers ? can't find any pricing for diesel full synthetic and not even sure if they carry diesel full synthetic

Make sure you check your oil after the service is done to make sure they actually changed it.

Even then, if you paid extra for synthetic oil to be used, some of these places use regular oil, but charge you for full synthetic.

Ruined a drain plug trying to get it off my brother's car after he had an oil change at Valvoline. Don't know how they got it cranked on so damned tight.

If I was not keeping the car I might put conventional oil in it, say perhaps a leased car.

However, If I intend to keep a car, I won't use anything but Mobil One.

I have first hand knowledge of the wear it prevents within the engine.

I think it's well worth the added cost.
