painting antique wrought iron bed

I need to have my antique wrought bed repainted for my son's room. Any recommendations ?

if it truly is an antique, repainting it will make it worthless. i have never understood why people would want to repaint antiques. why would you do this?

I don't know how it would affect the value of an antique, but if you are more concerned about appearance, I took some iron railings to these people 13 years ago and had them professionally stripped and powder coated. They are holding fast. This is not going to be cheap, but they can probably do it.
