You could circumvent it for years by simply clicking the reader view. That's how stupid the people who were running the WaPo were - they put up a paywall, and it took them YEARS before they realized you could go around it.

Personally, the Washington Po Po isn't worth reading, even if it's free!

The only thing the Post is good for is starting a roaring fire in the fireplace.

I used to have a print subscription but the bird died so I don't need it anymore.

I first got online in 1996. Within the first week, I started consuming most of my news online. A few days later I remember having this enlightened, woke moment where I said, "If I am paying for dial-up service, why would I also pay for newspapers when I get my news online, too?" I cancelled my newspaper subscriptions that day.

And here were are 21 years later and The Post is still trying to convince its dwindled readership that their reporting and journalism is still worth paying for? Do they realize that the best journalists don't work for newspapers anymore and haven't for quite some time?

Stopped subscription of this liberal paper several years ago, encouraged Obama to destroy the morality of this country including in the military. IMO only thing in it a little worth while in the WP is the traffic reporting, but even then, there are other multiple sources for that, including Waze.

all you need to do is use Google Chrome or Firefox and open in Incognito Window.

What does "clicking the reader view" mean specifically for us simpletons? I don't see that anywhere on the Post website.

In the address box, to the left of the website address, there is a graphic of horizontal lines like lines of a printed page. It allows you to view a website sans all graphics, just type. It doesn’t work on the WaPo site anymore, but it’s useful in this day and age of horeibly coded, dysfunctional sites that crash your computer with their ridiculous ads.
