A man who lost his law-enforcement career and picked up a felony conviction for granting an inmate's request for sexual contact received a suspended sentence Monday in Stafford County Circuit Court.
Jason Anthony Miller, 25, of Bristow, was convicted of carnal knowledge of an inmate. He was sentenced by Judge Michael Levy to three years in prison, but the entire sentence was suspended.
Miller was a correctional officer at the Rappahannock Regional Jail when the allegations came to light. According to the evidence, he had sexual contact with a female inmate three times between Aug. 23 and Sept. 1 of last year.
