Fairfax County firefights couldn't stop a fire in their own firehouse.
Too busy on the telephone with their stockbroker, making trades to invest the $150K in overtime pay fleeced from the taxpayers' pockets.

I wonder why the public never heard about the BRAND NEW LADDER TRUCK AT STATION 430 was wrecked 2 hours after the 1.4 Million dollar unit went in service? 2 ff's hurt. Wrecked so bad had to go back to the manufacturer to get rebuilt.
