From the Washington Post.

A pickup soccer game in Reston turned violent Sunday afternoon, leaving one man with life-threatening injuries.

Two groups of adult men met to play on a field at South Lakes High School. During the game, there was an argument. It escalated and someone pulled out a sharp instrument, according to Tawny Wright, Fairfax County Police spokesperson.

Police were called to the scene at 2:20 p.m.

One man was stabbed in the upper body and transported to Reston Hospital, where his injuries are considered life-threatening, Wright said. Another man was stabbed in the leg.

Neither of the victims’ names or ages have been released. The assailant left the scene and as of 4:30 p.m. remained at large.

OK, so what did the assailant look like, any peculiarities like a scar or extreme hairstyle, etc? Maybe we can help ID the varmint.

What's the proper restart for this incident, dropped ball or free kick?

If Fairfax County would just close all of its soccer fields...errrr, I mean "pitches"...for 20 years, we could drive all the brown, savage, illegal mud-people out of the area.

We need common sense instrument reform.
