WASHINGTON (AP) - Police say a man stabbed a person who cut into a line at a Washington pizza restaurant.

Authorities say the argument began early Sunday when Jose Nelson Melendez Rodriguez skipped ahead in line at Jumbo Pizza on U Street. Another customer took issue with that, and the two went outside. A police report says Rodriguez stabbed the man. The stabbing victim then punched Rodriguez, knocking him unconscious. Later, a friend of the stabbing victim kicked Rodriguez in the head.

Rodriguez is charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He was taken to a hospital.

The man accused of kicking him, Justin McKinney of Glen Burnie, Maryland, is charged with assault.

The stabbing victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It's unclear if those charged have attorneys.

Shouldn't the title be "Line Cutter Stabs Man who Complained?" That would be a feel good story.

Kudos to the stabbing victim for koing the offender.

The dude cut in line and stabbed him, so he had the right to counter with lesser or equal force.

Was thinking the same thing. White Castle is a midwest chain, Little Tavern was DC/MD area back in the day.
