They do not even have a budget approved for next year. How can they plan on building a new Headquarters?

This summer VDOT received $250K to start the traffic study and begin design of the road improvements needed for the new Springfield HQ.

WMATA is already looking at bus and rail changes.

They would not be doing this if the decision was still unclear.

Politically they are going to have to give it to PG County. Virginia has benefited from a lot of federal agency moves already and Maryland would hit the roof if they don't get the FBI. Sorry but that's how it works.

The majority of agents live in Virginia. They'll be seriously pissed if they have to commute to Nigger County.

Obama found a premo site in southern Syria. That should give them a shorter commute since they aren't allowed to investigate us officials anymore. Then they can try and vet the new immigrants coming in from the benevolent Syrians who just want peace. Or was that piece?(of us).

When this topic came up a few months ago someone even when to all the effort to create a link to a fake Washington Post story announcing that Springfield was chosen.

Quantico was an obvious choice. Academy, Lab, and a gate guarded by Marines should have told the geniuses that moving any where else was dumb.

The FBI isn't making the decision at all. GSA is. The problem with Springfield is that while the feds already own the property, there is an expensive-to-move CIA facility already sitting on it. Landover and Greenbelt have infrastructure issues amd problems coming up with money for the improvements that would be needed ro handle another 11,000 commuting office workers. There is no good answer here, but one of these sites will eventually be chosen anyway.

It's Greenbelt. The money people got the word months ago and real estate prices have gone up 25 percent during the past year in the Greenbelt area.

It isn't ANYWHERE yet, dummy. A decision is expected by the end of the year.
