Police say one man is dead and another man is in critical condition after a car crashed into a McDonald's in Fairfax Monday.

According to Fairfax City Police, the crash occurred at around 6:45 Monday morning at the McDonald's at 3924 Old Lee Highway.

Police say the driver of the car was a 69-year-old man and that the two people "were trapped inside the business between their tables and the wall of the building" following the crash.



Harold Skeins, 78, was identified by police as the man who died in the crash.



Police say the crash is under investigation, and that no charges have been filed against the 69-year-old driver.

Yes same Harold from Verizon

Harold used to play basketball at Radcliffe Park all the time. Even is his 70's he played great basketball and talked smack like someone 1/3 his age. He was always smiling and in a good mood. Very sad news..

The Harold who retired from Verizon a couple years ago in March. Died about a month into retirement. This gentlemen killed in McDonalds was his father.

2. It was the McDonalds downtown, north of the historic Courthouse and the Library (both of "The Library"s :) It has been redeveloped since then. The address is at the beginning of the news article.

3. There are at least 6 McDonalds nearby in Fairfax City. I think this one re-opened after the redevelopment of that strip.

Do you have an up to date list of the McDonald's locations in Fairfax City? You said at least 6 locations, could you be more specific and provide the exact number of actual locations.

Do you have any feelings about Chick-fil-a or Arthur Treachers?
