That was Bill N from the Nats thread...going on and on about the "African Americans" that are relatively rare in the DC area and never a problem. Looks like they got her.

In the Patch article, the last line about being aware of your surroundings, and not talking on your phone, etc.
Every few months, some woman jogging listening to music or walking and yakking on her phone and something like this happens or WORSE. Ladies, really, there are a lot of creeps out there.
When I was commuting into DC -- years ago -- on Metro, one day I decided the Walkman wasn't worth it. If someone was going to say "He's got a gun, knife, etc." I actually wanted to hear it.
Don't take one of your senses out of the safety equation.
Every few months, some woman jogging listening to music or walking and yakking on her phone and something like this happens or WORSE. Ladies, really, there are a lot of creeps out there.
