I've seen this 2 or 3 times now. I'm driving South on Fairfax County Parkway (will they rename this Fairfax City Parkway? hmmm) right about 5:15pm and noticed anywhere from 2-4 police cars pulled over just at the on-ramp to 267 West. They've had a few cars pulled over, but I can't figure out what they are ticketing for. Saw this last night and also twice last week, iirc. Anyone get a ticket there and want to share the reasons for the setup?

Probably out dated tags or inspection stickers.

They are looking for impatient people who drive around stopped traffic and down the shoulders to pass.

Cool... I think shooting people who do that should be totally legal, but I doubt we'll get that so having the police out in force to bust them is great news.

I drive by there most everyday, it was the state police today but usually fcpd. They are there ALL the time. I think they probably do sticker checks in addition to people cutting into that lane across the stripped lines.

I wasn't being a smartass about the high revenue comment. It's a perfect place to get sticker/tag violations, which would equal revenue.
