I've got AAA picking up for a single family home in Centreville. They're charging about $40/month. I called a few other places and they were all in the 35-40 range.

Anyone have luck with one of the other companies being cheaper?

$40 might be a bit high. My small association contracts with the county and we pay about $340 annually.

I'm also paying $40 a month with AAA. I'm also looking at my options.

Yeah, I'm not in an HOA (pros and cons :) ) so I can't get any sort of bulk discount. My street is a funny mish-mash of about 5 different companies picking up.

Talk to your neighbors about group rates. The trash companies will start discounting when you appear in blocks.

I pay $75 every 3 months with AAA...we switched about 6 months ago from American and they guaranteed this rate for a year.

I pay $69 a quarter with American. I switched form AAA about 6 months ago and this rate was guaranteed for a year. Previously, as a loyal customer with AAA, they were charging me $110-$120 a quarter.
