No Homework for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter!

Long Holiday Breaks and Expectations for Student Work: Thank you so much for your support as we work to bring out the best in your student. As the holidays approach, I want to make sure everyone enjoys the well-deserved upcoming breaks.

As all FCPS high school principals have agreed to do, our teachers will be observing “homework free breaks” during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter vacations. In particular, teachers have been asked to not have assignments due or give assessments on the Monday or Tuesday after Thanksgiving and Christmas Break or the Tuesday and Wednesday after our Easter Break.

Everyone has worked hard and needs some time to relax and rejuvenate. I hope all members of our school's community take advantage of the time off as well to spend time with family and friends.

Some areas of the school will remain open during our breaks for the traditional and very popular holiday tournaments that our students participate in with their local community sports organizations, but the offices will be closed and access to most classrooms and lockers will be very limited.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation! Stay safe, especially if you are traveling.
