How long have you been asleep Rip? This has been going on for at least two years now.

For most of us these are a pain in the ass. We also have bank accounts, so we can have our refunds directly deposited. Rumor has it you can take the cards to your bank and they can transfer the funds into your account. No knowledge whether that is true.

For those without bank accounts the debit cards are likely better because they can be used directly with merchants. Before that they had to go to check cashing places which charged a hefty premium to cash them.

I DONT CARE WHEN IT STARTED IT SUCKS. YES THEY ARE BETTER FOR EVERYONE BUT THE RECIPIENT OF THE CARD. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

IF YOU THINK this is a good idea they you are part of the problem. GOVT wants to eliminate all printed money.
WHY? because they can track it easily and TAX THE CRAP OUT OF YOU. APPLEPAY, GOOGLE WALLET, YAHOO electronic pay all serve the same purpose.

If it is good for the state, it is good for you. remember your Government works for you. just perhaps instead of crying on the FFU, you could email the people that decide these things and give them your Views.

Not only that, but the card sells your info and you get bombarded with marketing calls as soon as you use it the first time.
