True, but take a look at the timeline. Just looking at the adult charges you have an underage possession that is resolved by deferred disposition. There was an extra lane the driver crossed over; he was well off the road. You can see in the photo or go there yourself and look. This particular stop is probably safer than many others. Unless they install guardrails or bollards not much can stop a speeding 2-ton car that veers off the road.
Repeatedly driving drunk, driving without a license, and driving well over the speed limit to finally kill someone is not a "mistake". Those were intentional acts.

Before this is over three years from now, we will know who bought the booze, who served it, who was there that new his previous problems and should have stepped in, who provided the car keys, and more. He goes to jail and everyone else (or their insurance) gets to pay. They will even go after the state for the placement of the bus stop.

You go drinking then you drive and you end up killing someone in my opinion is 1st degree murder! You know damn well that when you go out and drink that your sense's are not 100% SO this piece of snot slime knew all to well that his sense's would be impaired but still goes out and drives after drinking.

I spoke with one of her neighbors today and the husband is devastated. She was in fact waiting at the stop to catch a bus to work - wrong place wrong time. That bus stop is totally unprotected at the base of a fairly large hill. I would think they would have a shelter and some form of barricade for those waiting.
Driver had to be passed out behind the wheel to drive off there then manage to smash into others after. Prayers to the family.
If you have a drinking problem get to a meeting before you kill someone.

Nice thought but too bad it doesn't work that way. I had an ex girlfriend who was going to her court ordered AA meetings and as soon as she got out of the door she was headed to 7-11 for a six pack.

I still don't understand why they left her body laying in a ditch and cooking in the sun for several hours. Were they expecting her family and friends to rush over and identify her?
