Who's going to need that much space in the Obama economy? , maybe it will be divided into two or three stores named Bankruptcy Court 1, 2 and 3.

Man, you're kinda stupid. The Royal Ahold thing has been around since 1998. This store closed because of the better Kings Park one. Read it,
Walmart only closed a few stores temporarily for problems, will be back in a few months. You'd think they'd close, like, 100+ stores for good? You're with stupid.
And, isn't all this fear-mongering stuff unnecessary? Seriously. You can talk about Giant without all this clutter.
After the fact Food Lion and Giant Merged, wonder if that had anything to do with it. You also have Kings Park, Rolling Road and OKM, Burke Center and Huntsman Giants very close together, Safeway at Twinbrook, Lee Chapel and Burke Center.

The Kings Park Giant had coexisted for years, DECADES, with the Burke Giant. The fact that they enlarged the Kings Park store does not make a difference. There is not enough profit for Royal Ahole to support two stores

I just hope they put in an upline burger shop or a mattress store...
Right now I have to go 3 miles for both and this would reduce my trip my 2 tenths of a mile...

Dunno about the burgers but the gyros and pizza are pretty good.
