Ugh! There's a stink bug in my room! I hate these things! I've never smelled them but I hate the noise they make when they fly around and hit the light!

Spray them with rubbing alcohol.

Bleach works better. Put it in a spray bottle and when it lands on the carpet or your clothes, spray it with bleach.

Why not just let it outside. What did it ever do to you?

What it did to me was make a bad smell. I don't need to smell all that..fuck those insects. They are the brown, savage, illegal mud-people of the entomological world.

The green stink bugs are American domestic ones. The brown stink bugs are an Asian breed of them.

I bought this thing that looks like a miniature tennis racket at Batteries Plus. You put some batteries in it, push a button, and the metal grid will fry any stink bug it touches.

I also buy the bug bombs in the blue box at Home Depot that are OK to use around pilot lights. I put several in the attics and a couple around the house. I cover the beds and towels with plastic drop cloths, set them off, come back several hours later and air out the house. No stink bugs.

No, rubbing alcohol. It kills them within a few minutes and evaporates. Bleach will bleach out rugs and paint and hurt wood. You spray the alcohol, it kills the bug, and then its gone and leaves no stain or discoloration. Who the hell would spray bleach on paint or carpets?

I don't think they smell much at all. I just pick them up and put them outside.

Live and let live. If they bother you, then catch it in a cup, and release it outside. They're completely harmless, and only release a stink when you kill them.

I don't recall seeing these all summer and this afternoon there are at least 10 on the screen to my bedroom office window. Thought that we were out of the woods with these.
