I once lived next door to a Vietnamese couple in their 50's who had
no children. One thing I noticed was how they divide the household
labor. Wife unloads truck load of gravel into driveway and shovels
it out evenly while the husband lies down in a lawn chair and watches
while drinking lemonade. It took her two full days but somebody had
to do it.

We have a couple of Vietnamese neighbors living side by side.

House 1:
Older couple who seems to do nothing all day and rarely seen going anywhere together. They go to Europe for 2 months every summer! They must have done their retirement calculations right.

House 2:

Family with a single girl (20s) living there as well. People come and go all the time. Sometimes they have a party and 20 to 25 cars show up. It's family friendly type parties, no loud noise; complete famliies show up. Then there's the girl renting in the basement. We see all kinds of guys come by and pick her up in their cars. Two guys with back packs on, college students, show up with her when the house is empty. They usually stay less than an hour and then are gone.

Overall, I have had good experiences with Vietnamese people.

Most Viet people that I know on avergage have 800-830 credit score. That should give you a clear picture of what their financial look like.
