Anyone have any idea why there are tons of police cars on route 1 in Alexandria? By North Kings Highway.

Thats what I figured it was, just thought the helicopters were a bit much

Just a local contractor doing his thing....

There are at least 15 units and they aren't broadcasting on the scanners. They are using an encrypted line. When I passed they were closing down the one side of the road and taking out riot gear.

I've been here 25 years and I've never seen so many police in one place. Nobody seems to know what is going on. What is a DWB?

Is it gang related? Are they separate or isolated incidents? I live off n. kings should I be worried?

Can not find any evidence of other shootings. Police still outside the home on north kings, however the chopper is by Richmond highway and 495 area now.

(p.s.- anyone see the fox around huntington metro? he has been hanging around this week a lot)

There were also 2 fire trucks and an ambulance at one point, thus making me think there is an injury involved. Police are blocking the entrance points via rt 1 to get onto north kings too. The only opening is past the cop posted at the 7-11 on quander up to Kathryn street. It's so heavily guarded.

They specifically called more units and said hold the channel. Nothing!

Some of the police cars have began to dissipate too from north kings highway.

I feel a bit safer now.

I feel this isn't the prices homes in a "ghetto" go for. Especially considering it is a 2 bed, 1 bath, honest it's probably more expensive per square foot than your home. Also, who the hell that has a decent job is at work at 9 pm? Stop trolling threads you aren't needed on.

I don't know who's address that is I zillowed a recent sale and the amount it went for. I live on north kings but would never post my address here. That sale is public record. I don't know who's it is but I didn't post a name either.

When you live in the worst part of Fairfax, nigs are to be expected.

Glad we moved out of there. Our kids would have had to go to Mount Eagle ES. One of the worst in the state.

It's always been the armpit of Fairfax. We should donate the area to PWC, it will improve Fairfax county's image.
