Exactly. One may find gustatorial satisfaction in many locales, but for mattresses there is only one Vienna.

Looks like Long-Weekender has skied himself into a Killington tree and is lying in a coma at some clinic in rural Vermont while awaiting transport to an actual hospital. So much safer at Jaleo. On the bright side, assuming he survives, the accident cannot have made him any dumber.

Why can't those trees be covered with some sort of padding --- a mattress, if you will?

Not so much in Falls Church. Unless you are one who enjoys "Meat in a Box". By the way, gustatory is already an adjective. There's no need to go all irregardless over it.

> ...but for mattresses there is only one Vienna.

Excuse me, but there is no MATTRESS TRADITIONS store anywhere in Vienna. You must come over to Falls Church for that. Falls Church may not be the place to go for food, but we are the place to go for the finest in mattresses. Not even Fairfax City can surpass the famous 1.38 mattress stores per square mile that Falls Church has to offer.

Aww. Looks like someone is a bit obsessed with me. You resurrected a dead thread because you are so obsessed.

Also, where did I indicate I went to Killington this past weekend. Oh, I didn't, you're dead wrong again. Big surprise there.

Oh, and what is this the year 2000? Jaleo has been on the downswing for the past ten years.

On a final note, auto complete does not complete two words, so your lame excuse that auto complete filled in Falls Church for Fairfax is just as much bullshit as the rest of your lies. You're feeble mind must have thought you were pulling one over on people.

You really should find some other interests in your life besides me. You clearly get lonely when I don't post. If I didn't find your stupidity hilarious, I might actually pity you.

Yes, gustatory is an adjective, but so in gustatorial. The two are synonymous, just as Vienna and mattress are synonymous.

Right. I just threw that out in memory of how badly your last phony "long weekend" story blew up in your face. Law school chums and all.

> Jaleo has been on the downswing for the past ten years.

How would you know? You've never been there. You've never actually been much of anywhere. Google defines the boundaries of your experiences, even in the local area. But I was waiting at the Verizon store earlier today, and a tech and another customer were coincidentally talking about how great Jaleo is. I don't know about great, but like the Vienna Inn, it's quite a comfortable place to meet and chat with friends and associates that also provides excellent food and drink.

It completes from entries that are stored in a list. If Falls Church is the first "Fa" entry in the list, that's what you'll get when you type "Fa".

How'd that blow up again? Do you mean the part where you were chasing phantoms around all weekend? The part where you were made to look foolish (again)?

I ALWAYS trust reviews from Verizon store techs. LOL. You're a fucking joke. You may want to pick up a Zagats from post 2005 if you want to impress people with the restaurants you are pretending to go to.

You still sticking with that line of bullshit? Why not, I suppose. You stand by all your lies and bullshit. That's not actually how it works, but you can pretend it does. In any event, even if you were telling the truth, "Fai" comes before "Fal." You should learn how the alphabet works.

I suppose they are the same to you as both are capable of decimating you with little to no effort.

Envious? Of what? Let's see....

You live OUTSIDE the beltway - yeah, definitely not envious of that. You settled for an out of the way property. Don't worry, you're not alone there.

You lack a garage - No envy there. This morning, I got into my car sans wearing a coat. If you decide to venture out today, you'll be shivering your pathetic ass off because you have a cheap roof attached to your hovel. Carports by their very nature are for those who don't want to spend cash on a garage.

You're wasting away your retirement years in Fairfax posting on Fairfax Underground - Not a bit envious of that pathetic existence.

You suffer from Asperger's syndrome - Nope, I don't envy that.

You're impotent - Do you think people envy that?

You're a completely addled moron - I certainly don't envy that. No matter how many times you scream "typo" you know it really boils down to you being a complete idiot.

You're so out of shape, you can't even play a round of golf - Is that something to be envious of?

You're the laughing stock of many a people - Not envious of that.

The list goes on and on.

In short, there is absolutely nothing about your life that anyone with a modicum of success in this area has anything to be envious of. You're pathetic. You're a troll. Just ask your kids. Oh, wait......

Those are curious statistics. Do Vienna residents simply wear out their mattresses more quickly (and if so, why)? Do outsiders flock to Vienna to buy mattresses?

Go to any of Vienna's fine mattress stores today and you will find a friendly informed sales staff, and freshly shoveled sidewalks to gain access to the store.

I always look for free set-up and removal when I purchase from on of Vienna's fine mattress stores.

Vienna is simply wealthier than those other municipalities. Ergo, the cars are newer, the wives are hotter, and the mattresses are newer.

It might have been back in the day, but it's been headed downhill for a good while now. Old, small, dusty, and cramped, with no real places to shop or eat? It's not really a slum yet, but it is getting to be more and more like some of the areas along the eastern parts of Columbia Pike.

Fall Church City's high school (George Mason) blows the doors off Vienna's high school (James Madison). You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

You've never been to Jaleo. Not in 2008, not at any time. It's no different from the many other locales and eateries you've claimed to have been to based on nothing more than having googled them. It's envy and butthurt that drive you in desperation to make these transparently false claims.

Merely interesting to note that at the very moment you were trying (for reasons noted above) to slam Jaleo, random people who had actually eaten there were speaking well of it. All part of how totally out of touch with reality your fictional little world is.

That's exactly how it works, dumbo, and unlike Falls Church, Fairfax has never been added to the list. The software hasn't done it and I haven't done it.

Excellent illustrations of the ways in which words such as "desperate", "butthurt", and "delusional" apply to you. I hope you at least went to lie down after typing all that. Long-term of course, you should be discussing these issues with your shrink.

I've been to Jaleo in DC and Vegas. I've also been to most Chef Andres' eateries. All have fallen precipitously in recent years. Go pick up a new version of Zagat if you want to impress people with the restaurants you pretend to go to.

Yes. They are also wrong. Just as the earlier income claims turned out to be. As was pointed out earlier in the thread, Fairfax City has either 7 or 9 mattress outlets, depending on whether Bif and Haverty's are included. Each of those does sell bedroom sets and mattresses, but they are not primarily mattress stores. But with a 2013 estimated population of 23,973, that means that Fairfax City has either 1 mattress store for every 3,425 residents or one for every 2,664 residents. The 4,800 number was just another example of goober-stupid.

Just to start with, the post above suggests that Census found at least two dozen area communities that have a higher median household income that Falls Church City. Kind of undermines your claim, as I don't think I'd be taking your word over that of the Census Bureau.

Further, Trulia reports that the average list price for homes recently put on the market in 22046 (Falls Church) was $758,528, while over in 22180 (Vienna) it was $1,030,687.

And by the way, high real estate taxes are not much to bragging over, but truth be told, the ones in the Town of Vienna are in fact higher than the ones in the decaying City of Falls Church.

Of course it does. Which is why if you have two identical houses on the same block one in Fairfax County and one in Falls Church City, the Falls Church City home will command a higher price. It also doesn't hurt that nearly 75% of Falls Church's population has at least a Bachelor's degree while Vienna is hovering around 65%.

George Mason is basically a one-room schoolhouse. Four full grades and maybe 750 students on a good day. James Madison is meanwhile run by FAIRFAX COUNTY, not the Town of Vienna. Nice job of screwing that basic fact up.

Nice job of erecting a straw man. The Town of Vienna is in the James Madison catchment area. That means Madison is indeed Vienna's high school.

What does the census say about per capita income?

Like Census bureau statistics? See below.

What do you think census quick facts says about housing values of Falls Church vs. Vienna.

http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/51/5127200.html

http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/51/5181072.html

You take the word of the census bureau, right?

Rate might be negligibly higher - somewhere around a penny, but when you factor in a property that is on average $55K+ more, that penny on the rate disappears rather quickly.

Then there is always the more educated populace and superior schools.

You've never been to ANY of them, including Bethesda and Crystal City. Just as you've never been to Tahoe or Viera or the club level. Your googled claims all just go "clank" as they fall awkwardly to the floor.

> You typed "Fairfax" in this thread.

And? Look >>> Fairfax <<< there it is again. Typing an "i" after "Fa" will cancel the auto-complete result if there is not an entry beginning "Fai" in the list. Ticking Enter or a directional key instead will cause the auto-complete result to be entered.

There is no "us" goober, it's all just you. And all your whine is the same old fabricated envy-and-butthurt nonsense as always. The truth is that I live a life of elegant, spacious, and richly appointed luxury that you will never know. Them's just the breaks, sucker.

And "nothing" is exactly what they reflect. As for golf, I don't lace up the Tacks and go crashing the net anymore either. Concessions to age. There's a big payoff in that. No doubt you'll not learn that lesson in time.

Yes. Just another academic achievement that you'd be hard pressed to accomplish at any school, let alone at one with the pedigree I attended. It's your envy that is showing here, nitwit.

Like many of your statements, your nonsense is barely discernible. I suggest you get back on your medication that treats paranoia and delusional thought. After all, you don't want to end a mass murderer like so many others suffering from Asperger's.

It's cute how you pretend to have been all the places I've been and will be going soon.

So, you knowingly clicked on a directional key or enter for Falls Church when you intended to type Fairfax? You really are an addled retard. You can't even explain your way out of this coherently. Call for a diaper change, you've shit yourself again.

LOL! The school is run by Fairfax County. The Town has nothing to do with its operation. And of course, the attendance area of JMHS extends well beyond the Town of Vienna, as the map below shows. You know, maybe you should try being less of a complete stooge at least part of the time.

You are keeping busy trying to cover up your initial logical mistake. The fact remains that residents of the Town of Vienna send their progeny to James Madison (motto: Garbage in, garbage out). Since your own little acorns did not fall far from the tree, it is clear why Madison is as it is.

Hahaha! Seven figures with lots of room to spare. That includes the five-figure stick-built cypress shed of course. Much larger than average lot with stunning natural and man-made features, if I do say so myself. With the leaves on the trees, I cannot see my neighbor's house, much less his trash cans. Just the grass and the trees and the birds and the bees and the flowers and the wildlife, and all with the stream gurgling away in the background. It's not quite Koloa here, but it's pretty close.

At least asshole spotter has now revealed himself. Lest we forget, here is the post that raised his ire:
Quote

Fall Church City's high school (George Mason) blows the doors off Vienna's high school (James Madison). You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
Note that the post does not say that the Town of Vienna owns or operates the school. It simply acknowledges that you cannot make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t.

And, no, I am not the poster who has been questioning your manliness. I could not care less, frankly.

You can get a delectable chicken salad sandwich at the new Potbelly's in Vienna:

Potbelly Chicken Salad is made fresh in shop with our simple recipe: all-natural chicken, celery salt, chopped celery, just the right amount of mayo, salt and pepper.

Don't try to eat the chili dogs from The Vienna Inn on or near your Vienna purchased mattress as you might cause an unsightly stain due to the drippage.

It also does not say that the City of Falls Church DOES own and operate tiny little George Mason HS while the fact that the Town of Vienna DOES NOT have any involvement in the ownership or operation of James Madison HS -- this because it is a COUNTY SCHOOL -- means that dumbfuck has just plain peed all over himself once again. Let's review for the dimwitted (you).

What was your supposition? Because you are probably too stupid to find it or remember it, here it is:

"It might have been back in the day, but it's been headed downhill for a good while now. Old, small, dusty, and cramped, with no real places to shop or eat? It's not really a slum yet, but it is getting to be more and more like some of the areas along the eastern parts of Columbia Pike."

Every economic and demographic indicator does in fact point in the exact opposite direction of your absurdly stupid supposition. What the demographic and economic indicators in another town/city/CDP say are irrelevant to your idiotic statement. They have no bearing whatsoever on whether a locality is going "downhill" or not.

But let's look at Falls Church as compared to say, I don't know, Vienna. In 2000, Falls Church had a household income of around $75,000 compared to Vienna's $84,000 - difference of $9K for our mathematically challenged friend. In 2010, that difference was reduced to a little bit less than $7K with Falls Church coming in at $120,000 and Vienna at $126,941. In 2000, 63.7% of Falls Church's residents had at least a Bachelor's degree compared to 57.2% of Vienna's. By 2010, Falls Church jumped more than 10 percentage points to 74.4%. Vienna was at 57.2% in 2000 and grew to 64.8% by 2010. Congrats Vienna, you have slightly a slightly higher percentage of residents with at least a Bachelor's than Falls Church did 10 years ago. Meanwhile, the per capita income and housing values of Falls Church are greater than in Vienna.

Communities heading "downhill" don't become more educated and more wealthy over time. In fact, it's the exact opposite and even a simpleton recognizes that very simple fact. So yes, every economic and demographic indicator points to your supposition as pure bunk.

> As we learned earlier, the buyers for these aging,
> cramped, and overpriced dumps are investors and

Well, you stated that earlier, but as we've just found out, you're assumptions and assertions are dead wrong. You must know very little about land use and zoning to think that the large cranes in Falls Church's commercial corridor will soon be found in it's SFH neighborhoods. In fact, those cranes along the commercial corridor will do nothing but increase the value of the homes in the SFH neighborhoods, pricing you even further out.

You keep harping on that point even though no one has disputed it. (Perhaps the problem is your perspicacity or lack thereof.) You just do not want to face up to the incontrovertible fact that the public high school attended by residents of Fall Church City outperforms the one attended by residents of the Town of Vienna. No amount of obscurantism (or puerile posting) on your part will change that fact.

I'd guess that their little hearts are being kept warm and cozy as they bask in the warmth and glow emitted by so grand a display of transparent butthurt on the part of The Asshole and his pathetically flat and formless alter egos. Their crumblage here was quite a sight to behold. Joshua and his trumpets could scarcely have done worse damage.

Blown up on household income. Blown up on Jaleo. Blown up on auto-complete. Blown up on mattress stores in Fairfax City. Blown up on FCC tax rates. Blown up on economic and demographic indicators. Blown up on County schools and their attendance areas. Then there was another phony beat-a-retreat "long weekend" plus the dissonant stream of dissociative attempts at insult. Outside the Beltway? Carports? Remote locations? Asperger's? Impotency? These are the deranged outbursts of a seriously warped and damaged mind. Fortunately I can say that none of this was any of my doing. This is exactly the way he was when first he began to run himself aground in these waters. Fail, fail, fail back then, and nothing but more fail, fail, fail ever since. You'd think he'd learn. What exactly do you deem appropriate to sell at a James Madison High School fundraiser? Should we only sell copies of the U.S. Constitution or the Federalist Papers?

I'd say anything other than mattresses, but then again, it is Vienna.

Hahaha! You live in Falls Church and talk about unrefined palates? What a joke!. As noted, I lived in downtown Falls Church back when it was still some semblance of something, but even then, the handwriting was on the wall. Moved to McLean as soon as I could. From there, true enlightenment dawned.

> Congrats, you got a gift card to Trader Joes.

LOL! You've seen all this before, doofus, but I'll rub your pathetically ignorant nose in a few of the facts once again...

Estate-grown Kona sells for about $35 a pound and is typically available only from an estate directly, or through one of the combines that do catalog and on-line marketing on behalf of a group of participating estates. Estates of course are just individual farms in the officially established and regulated Kona region. There are about 600 such farms over this 20-mile stretch on the west side of the Big Island, but most are quite small, in many cases comprising just a few acres. Year-round availability from a single estate is not to be assumed.

Aside from price, there is certainly nothing that would prevent Trader Joe's from selling estate-grown Kona, but what they and most other outlets market is what they call their "Kona blend". The word "blend" here means at least 95% South and Central American coffees. There is no such thing as a $50 Rolex, and there is no such thing as a $12 pound of estate-grown Kona.

Sucks to be stupid, ergo sucks to be you.

Why is it that anytime someone disparages Vienna, a debate ensures between two people who claim not to be from Vienna? Do they think we will fall for this distraction? Do they think the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

I have purchased name brand bedding at some of the shopping clubs in the past - B.J.'s, Costco, and such. Great pricing, and no asshole sales people to deal with. The only down side is there is no removal or delivery.

It can be done, and you need not go to Vienna to simply buy a new bed.

Let us unpeel your staggering stupidity yet another time. It was stated above that there was nothing but price to keep Trader Joe's from selling estate grown Kona. It was stated that there no such thing as a $12 pound of estate-grown Kona. $19.99 for 13 ounces is $24.60 per pound. That's not the same as $12 per pound. You on the other hand are exactly the same as any old moron goober assfuck. No difference at all.

The lying dumbfuck from the dreary and declining dregs of Falls Church has never recovered well from having his lying sorry ass handed to him what are now dozens and dozens of times over. His resulting envy and butthurt drive him to a crazed and pointless pursuit of revenge that will never be his. He just makes a bigger and bigger ass of himself. Over and over and over again.

I see you are still feeling the sting of another beat down. Irregardless and irrespective of you using a silly and stupid word like unpeel, we'll simply focus on your stupidity in this thread. Addressing all your bullshit and stupidity in one post is way too much for anyone to want to read.

Clearly they market something more than just their Kona Blend. They offer 100% Kona coffee. Once again, you have been proven to be full of shit.

> $19.99 for 13 ounces is $24.60 per pound.

Which is more than $10/pound less than what you claimed it was. You were off by nearly 30%

> That's not the same as $12 per pound.

Point to a single post where someone said Kona sold for $12/pound. Just one. Nobody made that contention. Ever.

Suppose you give us your take on ravel/unravel or shelled/unshelled. Or just admit that like so very many other things, your knowledge and understanding of the dimensions of actual English are very, very limited indeed.

> It was also stated, "what they and most other

Correct.

As was plainly noted as a possibility contingent on price.

> Which is more than $10/pound less than what you

Trader Joe's is not a leading purveyor of estate-grown Kona. The price of estate-grown Kona purchased in bulk from farms or combines of farms in Hawaii may change by a few dollars from month to month, but will turn out to be about $35 per pound over any recent time frame. I know this because I make such purchases on a regular basis. Others meanwhile claim like asses to drink Fazenda Santa Ines on a daily basis. Clueless.

I did, dummy. "There is no such thing as a $50 Rolex, and there is no such thing as a $12 pound of estate-grown Kona." Remember that or has the brain shut down yet again?

Seems like TJs has a better deal whether they're a leading purveyor or not. Your babbling now is irrelevant.

To which nobody contended anything differently. Your later repetition of your claim is meaningless as nobody contested it.

You don't think anyone's buying it this time around, do you? When you bump and give props to your own post, just how pathetic do you feel? Does it give you a momentary sense if satisfaction until the reality of just how miserable your existence is sinks in? You really are pitiful.

You are simply too dumb to recognize the true degree of your intellectual inferiority.
