whoever told you that is a dumbass and you should inform them of such. this area has stuff like this seasonally. im mean, it's like blaming the "increase" huricannes that hit florida a result of global warming. florida is in a tropical zone and it's been hit every year since the dawn of time! if you go around believing everything you hear from the media, then you are a mindless drone.

This is so untrue and I wish people would stop spreading lies like this. When the continents formed Florida was jammed between what is now Africa and South America, and tropical storms could rarely make it that far inland.

have you ever heard of a hyperbole? i seriously thought the whole "since the dawn of time" would have given it away... you know with the whole planet not existing yet billions of years ago.

I thought it was pretty cool too until I just found water in the laundry room of my apartment. I'm in one of those apartments where one wall is underground, so I'm thinking the groundwater has spiked enough to start coming up into the apartment. Shitty.

why dont you two fix your house/apartment instead of blaming the weather when you should be saying how stupid you are for ignoring it.

I guess you're right, I should've drilled a well behind my building and pumped enough water out to lower the groundwater level. Trouble is, I've only lived here for a year and haven't moved all my heavy drilling equipment up yet, so towels in the laundry room floor will have to suffice until then.

Fortunately, the lack of torrential downpour today has ceased the laundry room flood.

Ive been working at a Cub Scout camp this week during the day, crazy shit hapning. We had to close camp early due to lightining, a dock collapsed, and the lake flooded and overran a campsite.

Just warming up. You're gonna love my encore. Them damn Texans were bitchin' for twenty years about the draught and I gave 'em what they wanted. Now they're complaing again. Are you folks ever happy?
Keep it up and I'm gonna get really pissed.

I agree, this last week I believe is #3 since I've moved in my house in 2002.

1. Rain event of June 2006. Just plain ridiculous. A huge-ass low that just refused to move, and sat above DC/Baltimore/Philadelphia for 36 hours, dumping untold water, and flooding my basement with 8 inches.

2. TS Isabella, 2003. This event actually cut off electricity AND water for days, but there was less rain than 2006.

3. Last week.
