For takeout, try Oriental Express in Centreville. It's in the shopping center across from Giant on Centrewood or whatever it's called. It's just a little crap-looking takeout Chinese restaurant in a strip mall, but it seriously has the best Chinese food I've ever had.

I've never been to PF Chang's, but have heard things. I have been to Charlie Chiang's, and I think OE is better, especially when cost is factored in.

PF Chiangs is in love with pretense so prepare to be disappointed.

I've had both of the changs and they both suck. I second Oriental Express for take out. They seem to taste better then most of the places around. Sino's Inn isn't too bad. Out in Chantilly/Westfields area, there is a place that is great. I always forget the name but it's in the shopping center with the safeway right down the street from the police station that was just shot up. They have probably the best chinese take out I've ever had around here.

I'm currently out in the Manassas area, and out here I eat at Chinese Imperial on Sudley Rd.

When I'm in Alexandria, I typically eat Chinese at Szechuan Delight in Landmark Plaza in Alexandria...it's in that little hallway by Subway.

My favorite spot however, is Tony Cheng's in Chinatown. Great food down there.

I just need to know who has awesome kung pao, it's really mostly what I eat. So many places have been named.

Lo's in Pan Am Shopping Center. They have the best Kung Pao also. And while you are there you can visit the unknown graves and have a fresh starbucks or two.

For Japanese, things like bento box and good sushi, try Fortune House in the Burke Wal-Mart plaza. Used to be a Tippy's Taco House, so you know the place is small, but the sushi chef is very talented and friendly. Several local chef/owners of well-known DC-area restaurants swear that it is the best sushi in the area.

well I hate coffee and think the land in this area is too valuable to be taken up with rotting corpses, but I do go to micro center a lot so I will check it out.

Have you tried Hu Flung Doo off of Main St. I've heard they have the best Siberian Husky soup anywhere.

There is a place in Alexandria called Pho King on Mt Vernon Avenue. I wonder when the people answer the phone if they say Phoking restaurant?

I would strongly reccomend NOT going to China Star in Faircity Mall. That is some of the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted.

Hunan Lion in Vienna. It's in the "Toilet Bowl" building near Tysons Corner. Pricey but excellent.

My personal fav is Tono Sushi in Woodley Park, but if you don't want to venture into DC, Konami on Rt. 7 in Tysons Corner is great.

Golden China in Sully Plaza (Metrotech Drive, located between Route 50 and Route 28) has a killer lunch buffet with a Mongolian Grill where you can select what you want in your stir-fry and they'll fry it up right in front of you.

Likewise, unless they're gone for some reason, Imperial Pearl on the other side of Route 50 (but a little farther west - though not farther west than Route 28) has a good buffet with sushi available. It's in the small strip-mall with the red clock-tower. Or if you're aware of where it is or you've been there often, the same strip-mall where the MVC is.

Having referenced the MVC, here's hoping you're at least 18...
