Maybe I'm just cynical but my first thought was a "later-hours sales pitch"

Superintendent Karen Garza invites students, parents, employees, and community members to join her at the Region 3 Listening Tour Meeting on Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Walt Whitman Middle School (Lecture Hall), 2500 Parkers Lane, Alexandria, VA 22306.

Dr. Garza will discuss school issues and the priorities for Fairfax County schools and listen to ideas, comments, and questions from the audience.

Remember the great Republican Listening Tour in the Spring of 2009 after they got there fucking butts kicked all across the country? Claiming to represent something called the National Council for a New America, party big-wings Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, and Eric Cantor (all now deceased) set out to listen to America and find out where the GOP had gone so horribly wrong. From the first session at a pizza joint over in Arlington, it turned out that there were two big problems that people raised...

1. The GOP was obsessed with the ghost of Ronald Reagan
2. The GOP didn't have any policies that were relevant to the 21st century.

Oops. Not surprisingly, that first stop on the tour turned out to be the last stop as well, and the GOP just went back to listening to Rush Limbaugh instead. Such a bunch of clueless assholes.
