Based on the manic postings on this and other sites regarding the Fairfax Sheriff's Department it seems like the difference between inmates and the employees is just a thin brown line.

I guess free speech also gives the freedom to speak like an asshole.

It should be a 3rd world country. In fact, it should be worse. I think the isolation cells they show with the "nutritional loaf" should be the daily standard. Hard labor should be added as well, breaking up big rocks into small rocks so that those who are upstanding citizens, can save some money on their landscaping.

Who says the right-wing isn't rooted in the ways of centuries gone by?

you can get a disease and die in prison. you can be injured by violent prisoners in prison. you can get in legal trouble by lying officers on a bad day in prison. white males typically die at age 40 in prison, in VA.

only people who should be in there should be on solid charges. not fx co bullshit "tort" charges. or worse - ability to keep people there politically, keep them quiet, so they quietly die in prison - exactly what facists need to cover up who they are screwing over: a dungeon that taxpayers paid for rather than themselves.

it IS a life threatening place. and they don't keep that place clean.

only the violent, or those who continually are anti-social (against civility, refuse to help or mediate or do anything but torture others), should be in there

"it's a prison world". you must have missed all the 60 min. episodes where they explain why states and towns were BEGGING to build prisons for the tax money pay-offs. they then needed reasons to FILL them (at $30k/yr they need bait)

a few years back a rich fed. admin. of prisons was found and killed by a past prisoner. he was on allot of land and in a mansion.

i didn't shed a tear. a multi-billion dollar industry of shifting well-being of citizens into torture - for profit

then they stopped executing perps that did multiple murderers for greed / sex

ok if you had weak evidence. but MANY ARE / WERE red handed

they parlayed those into years of lawsuits, medical care etc, then also into $50,000 final cost "for execution"

they did it for the money

and there's been a long trail of news about prison as a business and execution as a business (and years of trials dragging on for open-shut cases as a luxury business)

the authorities and profit takers refuse to back off.

The good thing is that the Fairfax County ADC is not overcrowded, and has plenty of room for the social truants and liberal/progressive misfits in Fairfax. You guys continue committing your crimes, and we (Fairfax County) will continue to lock you up.

It is overcrowded. In the "bad" part of the jail they have people sleeping on the floors.

Well, the people of FFX County have spoken and they elected a Sheriff more interested in addressing issues for the LGBT community than actually improving our jail facilities.

someone who on their own free will picks a career that puts them in jail 8 hours a day for twenty years, lots of brain power there

Why dont they release a "Thin Brown Line" bumper sticker like the thin blue line on a black background the FCPD has?

A smudged brown line on a white cotton background would be appropriate.
