I get out early today (thanks boss) for the 3 day holiday. Traveling south on 270, heading into Fairfax about 12:30 PM. Around Shady Grove a crotch rocket screams by, the guy is weaving in and out of traffic. I going about 70 or so and I'm passed like standing still. About 10 minutes later, approaching the 270/495 merge the overhead road sign lights up with a message saying that all 270 South lanes are blocked around exit 1 which is a mile or so down the road. I am able to bail out and take the back roads over to the AL bridge. I tuned in to traffic radio and I hear it's a motorcycle accident. I wonder if the crotch rocket got smoked, anyone see it?

I drive up 95N (beyond NYC) several times a year, and I always LOVE seeing some jerkwad like this pulled over some miles from where they passed me. Those kind of people do their stunts for long distances, and invariably are caught.

Even better when they are dead, although it's a shame about the traffic backup they cause. Someone should just pull them off the road like a dead deer or something and let everyone by.
