Really?
NBC 4 hired her in the fall of 2011.
She has only lived here 2 & 1/2 years.
She only has 2 previous summers to compare this one too.
2 & 1/2 years is a long time?

On top of all that she was an affirmative action hire.
She is annoying.
NBC 4 needs to send her packing and replace her a blonde.

Since you guys are fired up, I googled to see if she had an employment resume page to see if she had some DC area connection.
Erika doesn't have a page, but I found a July 2014 interview on her agent's page where she says she picked up all of Crenshaw's team, so I think she does have some basis for broadcasting long term DC area facts.

She is not so much an affirmative action hire as she is a diversity hire imo. People dont want to see one race on tv. Like ice cream flavors. I dont care what is being watched.

I agree she is being groomed to take over for Liz. Though, to be honest, you would think they could find someone who actually is better, but, I dont know what the local news cast budget is...not like the market is that huge in terms of this isnt a national televised program.
They hire people who are rough around the edges and some hone their skills and move to major markets like a FBN, etc.
