Silver line strikes again

Manassas police say a man found dead Sunday in a residential Dumpster near two schools died of stab wounds.

Nearby residents found the remains of a 26-year-old man at 10:33 a.m. in the 8900 block of Nicol Lane, which is between Wellington Road and S. Main Street.

Police say the man died of stab wounds. Witnesses told InsideNoVa.com that the body was wrapped in carpet.

Police have not yet identified the victim pending notification of his relatives. City spokeswoman Patty Prince said no arrests had been made Sunday evening.

It is Manassas city's first homicide of 2014.
