I have a few Post Office's that I go to based on my business on any particular day. Seems like a large percentage of the counter staff at Fairfax PO's is now Asian, many with very heavy accents - like barely understandable. These folks are not very customer friendly - in fact, many times downright rude for run-of-mill transactions.

Interestingly, the route people I've run into (nowhere near as large a sample - couple residences and a business I had) seem to still be older, white or black native-born Americans, and these folks are very friendly and really nice to deal with.

Everyone else seeing the same? Not that going to the counter in the PO was ever fun, but now it's a nasty experience based on how rude the Asians are.

Perhaps if you finally get your GED, your applications to the USPS may be accepted.

Don't transfer your feelings of hopelessness on to the hard working people you see at the counters.

The asian staff at Herndon USPS office was so quick. I called today to make an appointment and got a hold of a real person.

The nonasian staff at Sterling USPS office put me on hold soon as I called and I didn't talk to someone til 10 minute later.

That's all fine and good until you marry one and you have a child with muscular dystrophy. She tells you that it is caused by a genetic mutation that is strictly the mothers fault. Tells you to abandon your child and let the mother raise it alone without any support. Keep all your money for you and her, now there's Asian for you.
P.S- They really do take abuse like a pro don't they?

This is sort of my experience too except the Asian staff at the post office has been friendly. Do we really want them driving around mail trucks anyway? Many are terribly shitty drivers.
