Per ESPN and Yahoo Sports, a deal is in place for the NATS to trade for Ben Zobrist.

The Nats already have better players at every position Zobrist can play. That means he'd be a $7 million version of Steve Lombardozzi, but at 33 years of age and with declining skills. Other teams would have a greater need for Zobrist than the Nats do and would therefore presumably be willing to offer more for him.

ESPN is now saying the A's are likely to be the suitors for Zobrist. However, the NATS are expected to trade for somebody in the coming days. I'm working to try and find out more info on that.
