Loud boom or gunshot heard from Mt. Vernon at 3:40pm

I just heard a loud blast, possibly a gun shot and I live in Mt. Vernon. Anyone else hear it? I'm not hearing anything on the scanner yet.

I am flying down the Potomac on my way to play a round at Ft Belvoir. The SS fired a concussion grenade at some teabaggers on The GDub Parkway.

Tonight four loud booms went off. They weren't like gunshots (although either is disturbing). I woke up at approximately 4:41am. Does anyone know it could have been?

This is also not the first time I've heard it. However, there were at least four this time. Freaks me out. I also live in Mt. Vernon, a couple of miles from Ft. Belvior.

I ate at Tippy's earlier. The repercussions didn't take hold until hours later. DEAL WITH IT BECAUSE I ALWAYS EAT THERE!!!
