The roads are slick. You have a 4WD. Time to drive like an idiot.

I just want to remind all the four wheel drive owners there is snow and ice on the roads. Please drive like idiots in an effort to show off that you might have more traction.

Of course we all know these 4 wheel owners end in the ditches and have to pulled out by a tow truck.

Cut us all a break, stop driving like idiots when it snows!

this goes out to everybody. regardless of the vehicle

The problem is that the best way to get traction in any vehicle is to use winter tires, but around here it only snows a handful of times a year, so leaving snow tires on all winter would wear them down and be wasteful.

everyone has 4-wheel brakes that work the same way. 4-wheel drive lets you drive faster but not stop faster. please slow down before you kill yourself or someone else.

Not true. Depends on the size of the car, as well as how old it is and how expensive it was.

Bigger cars will have brakes on all 4 wheels. Small sedans, etc. will only have front brakes.
How old it is will tell you whether or not it has an ABS brake system, which pump the brakes for you in the event of a slide/skid. THose with ABS will stop somewhat more quickly, becuase the system can pump the brakes something like 12 times a second. You can't, and you may forget in a panic stop.
A cheap car may have drum brakes in the back, which are ineffective when wet. Ok, so are disc brakes, but drum brakes stay wet longer. They tend to get wet when doing such activites as driving thru mounds of slush and huge water puddles.

Haha that's got to be the funniest thing I've seen all day. Typical Jeep drivers, think they're Jeeps can go anywhere and everywhere.

Stop discriminating against SUV and truck owners.
Remember to include the Lambo community as well.

i have 4WD (not AWD, actual 4WD)
i have winter tires.
i drive SLOW on ice/snow.

i saw a porche suv doing about 65, weaving in and out of lanes, on rt29 tuesday morning. i actually prayed he would crash go into the ditch so i could tell him he was a moron. its one thing to do that, but in an $80K car?!

Thanks Rectumite, I know I'm right, KeepOnTruckin is a troll.

I'm willing to make an exception- KeepOnTrucking, I sincerely hope you drive off the road.
