ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- A heroin dealer will spend decades in prison due to his connection with three deaths in Fairfax County, Va.
Dana J. Boente, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, tells us that 25-year-old Eugene Asomani Williams of Washington, D.C., was sentenced Friday to 30 years in prison for conspiring to distribute heroin and possessing a firearm in furtherance of this offense. Three people died as a result of heroin distributed by Williams, says Boente.
Williams pleaded guilty on Jan. 22nd to conspiracy to distribute one kilogram or more of cocaine and possession of a firearm during and in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
According to Boente, iIn a statement of facts filed with the plea agreement, Williams admitted to distributing more than one kilogram of heroin in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia between 2004 and Sept. 26, 2013. He also admitted that 33-year-old Joshua Pearson of Fairfax County, Va.; 23-year-old Timothy Huffman, who was an active duty soldier at Fort Belvoir, and 22-year-old Kara Schachinger of Fairfax County, Va. all died as a result of their use of heroin that he distributed.
