Anyway, my Wedding Reception was held at the Fairfax Country Club.

My new Father-in-Law was a local bigwig at Hechingers and had a lot of money and connections.

My new bride and I spent our wedding night at the Holiday Inn in Springfield and dined at Ding How's carry out. (To this day, nobody prepares a better General Tso's chicken and fried rice.) From there, we went to Bayse to spend the week playing golf. We had considered the Poconos but when my wife discovered how much we (I) owed on my new Triumph TR-6 and other debts, she nixed that. (To this day, she fails to understand how much chasing tail costs). Anyway, that's my story. Hope you enjoyed it.

Petey, your post was simply amazing. You shared how NOVA was back in the 70's/80's and even mentioned some of the local spots. The reference to the Holiday Inn and Ding How in Springfield put a smile on my face. Even Bayse made me chuckle.

Again, thanks.

That is how my life has rolled out. Nothing to hide; no shame. It's my story and I am sticking to it.

Now, excuse me while I go pour another drink.

Hey petey when was the last time you been to Ding How's?

I absolutely love general tso's with fried rice!!! If they still in business and you've been there recently, I am putting them on my must see places before I leave the area.

Update: googled Ding How and they are still in business, but, when I went to their website to look at menu I dont see any desserts or drinks on their menu.

Thats weird. People like drinks and side stuff with their order for pick up. I think they missing out on a few dollars despite themselves.

Still need to know when was last time you've been there Petey, and, are you regularly eating general tso's in florida?
