The only Lao place I ever knew about was Bangkok-Vientiane in Falls Church, but that closed about 5 years ago or more. That is the only one I've ever known to exist in the DC area, but there are probably places in Chinatown that have Lao dishes on the menu (that Burmese place comes to mind).

That place in Falls Church used to be great, they served these homemade crepes filled with crab meat and shrimp, it was killer.

I havent heard of any distinctly "Lao" restaurants, but Lao food
isnt much different than Northeastern Thai. I cant remember the name
of the Thai place but its across from Costco. They might be able
to "customize" for you if you wish. Otherwise, Mo Bpen Young.
