Centreville: What Do You See in the Old Ned Devine's Building?
http://centreville.patch.com/groups/business-news/p/centreville-what-do-you-see-in-the-old-ned-devines-building

Luck evidently wasn't with Ned Devine's, an Irish Pub and restaurant that once occupied 6208 Metroplex Drive in Centreville.

The pub closed about two years ago and since then the building has stood empty along the bustling business strip just off Machen Road and Route 28.

Now that we are all tired of nothing being there, what should be the next business to step up to the plate and take a swing at success?

The owner of the 6,638 square foot building would like to see another restaurant there, but the building is suited for customization, according to a representative from KLNB, the commercial real estate company charged with leasing the building. See more information on the property on the KLNB website.

But if it were up to you, what do you want to see there?

6208 Metroplex Drive was once the home of Ned Divines but has been empty for years.

I see an upscale entertainment spot...adult style. Rick's Cabaret or Spearmint Rhino or something of the like. Oh wait, that could never happen in the shit-don't-stink, stuffy, Puritan Commonwealth of Virginnnnia.

I think Centreville should convert it to a 2nd branch of their "jobs office" operation for illegals. It's big enough which would allow about 300 of them to huddle inside and keep warm until the contractors in the white vans pull up to hire them for $65 a day.

White vans picking up the day laborers, as you've described, are akin to the trains to Auschwitz. They'll work their asses off before the "local contractor" does what he does.
