Moving out soon and beginning to pack. Where can I get a good deal on some moving boxes?

Go to Walmart after 10pm when they're stocking the shelves. Just ask some of the associates and they'll give them to you for free.

If you are buying them, whatever you do, avoid the Public Storage-type places as they typically run triple the cost for boxes and tape as home improvement stores.

Home Depot has them really cheap unless you want thicker, reinforced cardboard, then they are about 20% more.

I've done OK buying used boxes from Moving Masters. Good quality, 50 cents each (mind you, this was a while ago).

Depending on what you need, good quality moving boxes may be a better bet -- I have some that I've been using and reusing for over 20 years. If it's just to contain the mess for the duration of the move, sure, junk boxes will do.

The boxes at work that have the paper in them are great. Just tape up the ends.

Look on Craigslist in the free section, a lot of people get rid of them this way.

Home Depot has inexpensive boxes ~ in standard (least expensive) or heavy-duty, in many sizes.

You may want to call Redskin Park. I think Shanahan might have a few left over.

Also try behind grocery stores. But craigslist and freecycle usually has some.
