Is engine braking legal in Fairfax?

When I'm driving my Maserati in the left lane at the exact speed limit and other drivers are tailgating me, I like to shift into a lower gear and slow down without activating my tailights- is this legal? Or would the drivers behind me be justified in delivering swift and harsh justice to me and my family?

Nope, They rear ended you, meaning they have failed to control the vehicle. Now it will be a pissing match, and they will say you slowed down.
By why be such an asshole? get the fuck out of the left lane..fuck face.

I use my Jacobs Engine Brake a lot in my Kenworth tractor. Saves the regular brakes.

Using the Jake brake IS illegal in some areas due to the loud machine gun-like noise it makes, but I believe signs must be posted warning of this. I have never seen NO JAKING signs in Fairfax County.

It sounds like you are just downshifting and I don't see how that (alone) could be illegal. Plus, I never seen a car with a Jake Brake. I don't even there's even such a thing for gas engines, only diesels.

Ok, I KNEW it wasn't called engine braking, no Jake brake on my Mas- is the right term compression braking?

I feel like if there was a cop on my tail and I dropped it from 6th into 2nd that he would light me up. All you pussies driving Odyssey's with a 4 gear slushbox can suck my troll quad pipes, yipppeeee.

Hey Stan...the last time I checked? I'm not an Odyssey with a slushbox...though I do have a 4 speed.

what would you rather have wear faster? Your clutch or your brake pads?

If someone is impatient on the highway I downshift from 6th to 4th and watch them get even more pissed off.

If they try to pass im in 4th gear on the highway so they have no chance of passing with all the power I have at those RPM's.

I saw a blue convertible Maserati on Route 50 a few weeks ago. He pulled into Sheetz right in front of me.

The driver got out, and he had to be 80 years old.

This is why I'm enjoying my riches NOW. When I'm 80 I expect to be laid out on some beach somewhere drinking rum punch and reading books. I'll get all the fast cars and fast life out my system while I'm young and my body is ready ;) Already got my cyanide for when it's time to make my exit- fuck suffering in old age.
