Student sexually assualted on NOVA's Annandale campus

WASHINGTON - A female student was sexually assaulted on the Annandale Campus of Northern Virginia Community College.

NVCC police say the woman was assaulted around 5 p.m. Oct. 17 in the third floor east stairwell of the CM Building.

Police say the incident occurred while the victim was walking up the stairs and was broken up almost immediately by witnesses.

There were no reported injuries.

The suspect is described as a black man, 6-feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds and in his early 20s.

College police say anyone with safety concerns can request a police escort at anytime by calling 703-764-5000.

Suspicious activity should be reported to NOVA police at 703-764-5000.
