I bought my two unopened Numark TTX-1 off ebay for about $650 shipped, which is a fucking fantastic deal. I can look up the merchant if you want.

Guitar Center has everything from Stanton to Numark to Technics, but it's expensive.

I've never been to DJ Hut in DC, so I don't know if they even stock hardware and there aren't really any local DJ friendly places I can point you to. I (and everyone I know) buys their equipment online.
